Duration	:	The position is for one year ten months, renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position. An attractive compensation is offered for the right candidate.

Qualification	:	Ph.D. (Ag) in Plant Breeding and Genetics/Biotechnology and related streams Strong writing and verbal communication skills in English Proficiency in Computer skills (Ms- Office, data analysis) Ability to work independently as well as in a team, adaptable to working in multicultural environment
Experience	:	Preference will be given to candidate having experience in handling of breeding trials and marker assisted introgression of genes/ QTLs with at least 2 Years of experience. Experience on working with rice is desirable
Responsibilities	:	Conduct field and laboratory research on marker assisted introgression of different genes/QTLs for biotic and abiotic stresses Consolidate, evaluate and analyse research data related to progenies developed through introgression of genes/ QTLs for different traits into recipient varieties using appropriate advanced statistical tools independently Contribute to the preparation of reports, publications, and presentations by summarizing research findings and draft manuscripts for publication in refereed journals, provide inputs to project reports, prepare posters and papers for presentation at local and international conferences Collaborate with partners to obtain progress report as well as keep participating institutes as well as DBT updated on marker development, crosses attempted
