A steady market trend for groundnut oil was observed on the local oils and oilseeds market on thin demand supported by restricted arrivals. The oil was quoted at its earlier level of Rs. 408 per 10 kg. In supplementary oils section, cottonseed refined and sunflower solvent moved up by Rs. 2 each to Rs. 282 and Rs. 285 per 10 kg respectively. In Mumbai, castorseeds September futures contract opened at Rs. 1,727 after it closed at Rs. 1,716 a quintal on the previous day. The contract touched a high of Rs. 1,747 and recorded a low of Rs. 1,727, finally the contract closed at Rs. 1,731 a quintal. International castor oil moved up by Rs. 1 to Rs.386 per 10 kg as reported by national market sources. |
