On weak oil market demand, subdued trend was witnessed on the oils and oilseeds on Monday. Groundnut oil price held steady at Rs. 405 per 10 kg. In supplementary oils, cottonseed refined remained unmoved at Rs 280, while sunflower solvent refined edged up by re 1 to Rs 265 per 10 kg. In imported oils, RBD palmolein eased by Re1 to Rs.218 per 10 kg. Soyabean refined and crude also declined by same margin of Re1 to Rs. 243 and Rs. 210 per 10 kg respectively. The sunflower crude maintained at Rs. 230 per 10 kg, while rapeseed crude moved up by Re1 to Rs. 228. In Mumbai, castorseed September futures contract opened at Rs. 1,650 a quintal after it closed at Rs 1,679 on the previous day. The contract recorded a high of Rs. 1,654 and touched a low of Rs. 1,638, and finally it finished at Rs. 1,648 a quintal , as reported by market sources. |
