Subdued to steady trends of edible oils

In the oils and oilseeds market a subdued-to-steady trend was noticed on wholesale market.

Sources reported that groundnut oil remained unchanged at Rs.405 per 10 kg for the third consecutive day. In supplementary oils, cottonseed refined and sunflower refined also held steady at Rs.275 and Rs.264 per 10 kg respectively.

In Mumbai, castorseeds September futures contract opened at Rs.1,550 after it closed at Rs.1,538 a quintal on the previous day. The contract recorded a high of Rs.1,575 and touched a low of Rs.1,550, finally the contract closed at Rs.1,574 a quintal.

December castorseeds futures contract opened low at Rs.1,472 after it closed at Rs.1,464 a quintal on the previous day. The contract closed high at Rs.1, 490 a quintal, as reported.
