Fair response to APFDC coffee auction

The Andhra Pradesh Forest Development Corporation (APFDC) organized the tenth auction of the season in Vijayawada on May 27. There was a fair response to it.

While the pattern at APFDC auctions is for almost the entire offer in APFDC auctions to be sold, in the latest auction at Vijayawada, 100,430 tonnes were sold out of an offer of 182. 740 tonnes (much higher than this season’s low of 45o kg sold out of an offer of 102.600 tonnes). The remaining 82.310 tonnes was withdrawn. Only Arabica grades were sold.

Out of an offer of 123.380 tonnes or Plantation grades, 88.130 tonnes was sold. All 73.400 tonnes of Plantation A offered was sold for an average of Rs. 80/kg.

Out of an offer of 59.360 tonnes of Arabica Cherry, 12.300 tonnes were sold as reported by Banglore bureau.
