Lowering down mango prices in wholesale market

Though there is low production of mango in current season,

large scale arrival of Alphonso and Pairi from Konkan region and at the same time 2000 – 3000 mango baskets arrived from Karnataka region leads to lowering the price of mango in Pune local market.

The price of Alphonso and Pairi for two and half dozen was Rs.100-150 whereas for Lalbaugh price was Rs.70-120 which was less than Rs..15 as compared with Sundays wholesale market price.

Market Information states that prices set at Rs.300-500 for four dozen pairi and Rs.400-1000 for six dozen Alphonso variety of Mango due to arrival of 2120 boxes and 2500 baskets of mango in wholesale market.

In current season, low market demand for mango and excess raw mango stock results in lowering down the mango prices.
