Palm Oil exports
Malaysian
palm oil exports for April were at 671,652 tonnes compared with 837,611 tonnes in March,
cargo surveyor Societe Generale de Surveillance Malaysia Sdn Bhd (SGS) said. It is estimated that exports from the shipments
of 182,996 tonnes of RBD palm oil, 302,533 tonnes of RBD palmolein and 37,205 tonnes of
RBD palm stearin which it tracked during the period. Other palm oil products accounted for
148,918 tonnes to make up the balance of the export figure, it said. India was the biggest
importer of Malaysian palm oil in April, taking 204,510 tonnes, followed by China which
bought 52,554 tonnes. European Union countries bought 84,183 tonnes.
