The market trends of potato seeds in Hassan District of K’taka observed that the K’taka Rajya Raitha Sangha (KRRS) has urged the authorities to fix the price of seed potato under the Essential Commodities Act. However, sale of seed potato has picked up in Hassan District following the recent rain. According to APMC sources at Hassan today trading in seed potato started on May 21. As many as 370 lorry loads of seed potato have been received. Of these, 130 lorry loads have been sold. The sale is likely to increase further. Seed potato is being sold at an average price of Rs. 550-650 per bag of 80 kg. |
