Demand in major spices remained sluggish due to drought conditions in some of the states. Cardamom small colour Robin fell from Rs 600/740 to Rs 565/725 a kg due to lack of buying by the stockists. Nutmeg and Kochi mace also lost Rs 10/20 a kg due to dull demand . Turmeric, however, improved by Rs 50 a quintal as arrivals in Erode fell sharply while tamarind fell sharply by Rs 25/100 a quintal on inflow of poor quality tamarind form MP, Bihar and West Bengal. |
