At the Navi Mumbai wholesale sugar market a steady condition was noticed here on Tuesday, 23 May 2000. Both grades of sugar hovered around at their previous levels due to poor demand amidst easy arrivals. Small grade sugar (S-30) was quoted at Rs. 1,380/1,410 a quintal against its earlier level of Rs.1,375/1,415. Medium grade (M-30) remained unmoved at Rs.1,430/1,475 a quintal on dull demand. Sugar prices for check-post ruled overall steady and were quoted at Rs.1,365/ 1,385 for the S-30 grade a quintal for the M-30 grade. Sugar prices for ex-mill deliveries were quoted higher at Rs.1,315/1,330 a quintal for the S-30 grade and Rs.1,350/1,370 a quintal for the M-30 grade. |
