High decline in wheat prices

As a result of low demand in market and more import of wheat in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh leads to decrease in price level by Rs. 50.

Demand for annual storage of wheat still not focussed. Government has decided to sell the balanced stock of wheat in open market. Government’s decision of purchasing balanced stock of wheat from foodgrain corporation and its selling in open market affects wheat price. The price of wheat which sold through public distributors shop has increased and as a result there is decline in price of wheat in open market.

In Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh import of HD 2189 wheat is good, the price for HD 2189 is Rs.800-875/quintal, for Kalyan sona Rs.800-900/Quintal.
