New Avocado variety

A team of scientists from Tamilnadu Agriculture University at Coimbatore here developed a new avocado variety called ‘TKD1’. This variety is suitable for density planting. It is an early maturing variety. It gives 264 kg fruits per tree, which are around, medium sized. The mean weight of fruit is 640.5 kg.
