Combating Calcium Deficiency

Hydro Calcium Nitrate is a white granular, free flowing fertilizer, which is water-soluble. Regular application of Calcium Nitrate leads to increased calcium content in soil solution and to higher calcium content in the crop. This results in significant reduction of nutritional disorders related to calcium deficiency.

Applications of Calcium Nitrate have reduced "Blossom end rot" of tomatoes in field experiments because of the abundant presence of water-soluble calcium. In addition, the nitrate nitrogen in Calcium Nitrate improves the uptake of calcium cations. Foliar sprays with Calcium Nitrate can also be used to prevent calcium shortage. Calcium Nitrate is a valuable tool for reducing the occurrence of calcium deficiency in leaves or fruits, or as a controlling measure at the first sign of disorders.

Calcium nitrate provides better insurance against calcium deficiency than any other fertilizer.
