Tractors are very useful to farmers |
|
|
Tractor, a leader in
mechanized farming helps farmers at each and every step of farming starting from land
preparation to marketing of produce. All implements required from preparatory tillage,
interculturing operations and upto marketing of products can be installed on tractors, for
better and comfortable farming. It saves a lot of time and labour of farmers. Large HP
tractors from 75 to 80 HP tractors are also now available in market for heavy purpose
works like ploughing, harvesting, threshing etc. In this fast developing world, remote
control tractors are also successfully tested in some countries.

Tractors have created rural unemployment |
|
|
The main reasons for
high agricultural yield in the Western countries is high degree of mechanization of
various farm operations. While India being a highly populated country, farm mechanization
creates severe problem of rural unemployment. Although tractors are very useful in
agriculture, the prices of tractors are not within the reach of ordinary farmers. The
marketing price itself only is not the cost of tractors, but expenses required for
maintenance & repairing are also incurred in it. The fuel charges have also reached
the sky. Again due to thrust on liberalization our farmers are not getting appropriate
prices for their products & their expenses both in money & time are also not
getting full returns. Above all, due to the increasing population & implementation of
new laws of property distribution, the size of land holding is getting reduced. Hence, it
has become difficult to afford such a costly machine like tractor.
