1	Sonam ANKUR SEEDS	This variety has small grains. Plant is dwarf and thick or compact and grows straight. Plants are sturdy and do not lodge. Colour of leaves is green and they are medium size. It gives out 18-24 tillers. Tussels are given out after 105 days and their length is 18-20 cm and contain 185-215 flowers. The crop is ready for harvest after 137-142 days. Yield is 42-60 q/ha. Grains –length 4.9 mm. Breadth 1.5 mm L/B ratio 3.27 Recovery of rice after milling 70%. Seed rate 12 kg/ha.

Medium duration, grains pear type and bold. Good response to fertilizers. Plant height 170-190 cm and they strong and erect. Leaves dark green. Stem is big and covered by leaf sheath. Leaves are broad and drupping. Earheads are given out after 70-75 days and they are hairless and compact. Crop is ready for harvest after 115-120 days. Grain colour is yellowish. Yield is 50-55 q/ha

Plant is of medium height, moderately spread and open. Leaves are of medium size and light green and slightly hairy. Buds are given out after about 28-30 days and flowers after 55-57 days. Flowers are of yellow colour. Bolls are of medium size 4 to 4.3 gm weights, many bolls are produced at a time.

Crop duration is 140-145 days

Staple length is 25-28 mm with Lint 35%, Yarn No.40.

Yield of unirrigated crop is 28-30 q/ha and irrigated crop is 38-40 q/ha.
