Machinery for processing Neem seed

The Goldin (India) Equipment, Baroda has developed state of the art machinery for processing neem seeds. The neem seeds, often mixed with the neem fruit, are allocated with lot of dirt and impurities.

First the impurities like dirt, stones, sticks, stems etc have to be removed by means of screen-air-separator and destoner. These machines are provided with aspiration systems not only to separate light impurities but also to remove oversize as well as undersize impurities through suitable meshes.

The machine then separates the required seed or fruits. Thereafter seeds or fruits are dehulled into impact hullers. This type of hullers differ considerably from those used in groundnut and cotton seed industries. Unlike cutting and compression effect in cottonseed hullers and groundnut decorticators, impact hullers work on the principle of impact generated by centrifugal force which is then imparted to the seeds. This type of huller works with minimum breadage and high dehulling efficiency compared to others.

After dehulling, the mixture is passed over a grader to separate mixture of unhulled kernels, brokent and fines. These separated mixtures are fed to air classifier to separate hulls from kernels, unhulled and broken. The separated kernels are then taken to expeller or pulverizer for further processing. Goldin (India) Equipment undertakes supply of these machines on a turnkey basis.
