Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth is going to organize its 20^th Convocation Programme on 18^th of October that is on Wednesday at 10.30 a.m. at Rahuri. Minister of Agriculture and Textile industry Shri. Ranjeet Deshmukh is going to be a chief guest for this grand ceremony. Agriculture State minister Shri. Dada Jadhavrao is going to distribute the prizes.

 
Veterinary College exams got posponded

The annual external examinations conducted by Bidar Veterinary College, which were scheduled to start form September 18, have been posponded due to the strike by the teachers. The teachers and the scientists of the Veterinary college, Agriculture Research station, Krishi Vigyan Kendra and DEONI cattle farm, Bidar had totally paralysed the teaching, research and examination work. Although administrators of the Agriculture University, Dharwad, had agreed to pay the UGC pay scale arrears by Sep 30. But the demands regarding to assistant professors’ scale and promotion of instructors to assistant professors’ grade were still pending.

 
Employment opportunity for Agriculture Students

Every year Central govt. has decided to establish 5,000 Agricultural development Centers and Small Scale Business Centers to employ the agriculture students. Proposal for the above is already made but the Indian Agriculture Research Institute has yet to take decision and the further decision will take place with in 2 to 3 weeks.
