Martin J. Evans, Director, Cardiff School of Biosciences, UK, who discovered the embryonic stem cells and was honoured with the prestigious Lasker Award, would deliver the keynote address. Training for farmers in medicinal plant cultivation The Swami Ramananda Tirtha Institute of socia-economic Research and National Integration has taken up training of farmers in cultivating medicinal and aromatic plants, processing and marketing areas on a large scale. The institute will initially train the trainers who, in turn, will train their peers. The intensive training for trainers in Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar, Medak and Nalgonda district will be organised for six days from May 5. In all 205 farmers, one from each mandal will participate.
