Mumbai: Thanks to scholarships awarded by the Bayer Science & Education Foundation 26 Bayer Science Teens are going to be researching into a wide variety of life science, medical health and food science topics in Colorado from 23 July to 4 August.
The multinational make-up of the Bayer Science Teens Camp, with youngsters participating from India, several African countries, the U.S. and Germany, opens up plenty of valuable opportunities to get to know teenagers from very different cultural backgrounds.
An independent panel of judges after various rounds of selection, shortlisted Bhurva Sharma & G. Sai Sravya from Hyderabad, Prushti Zalavadia from Ahmedabad, Aditya G Palaskar from Aurangabad and Vatsal B Patel from Vapi. The winners are between 14 and 16 years of age and will represent India at the Bayer Science Teens 2018.
“The five students chosen to represent India at the Bayer Science Teens have outstanding grades in scientific subjects and good language skills, and are interested in medical health issues,” explains Richard van der Merwe, Senior Bayer Representative, South Asia. “The aim of the seminar is to identify scientific talents at an early stage, provide them with long-term support and help them network internationally.”
